The Pencil Museum introduces pencils’ records that remain in history, including the production process from graphite to the creation of pencils. The Museum also provides you with a special opportunity to see, touch and feel unique and stylish pencils from Korea and many other countries around the world.
The Museum’s more than 3,000 types of pencils are organized according to their concepts, or are exhibited according to the countries from which they were collected. In addition, the Museum introduces pencils loved by prominent figures including literary critic Ur-ryung Lee, novelist Hoon Kim, and designer Hyun Kim, and also introduces the world of creative works produced by the tip of a pencil. Moreover, you will see the unique aspects of pencils through the colorful collections of pencil collectors.
The Pencil Museum, located 5 minutes from Mukho Station in Donghae-si, Gangwon-do, is Korea’s first pencil museum and is a cultural and artistic space which embraces the East Sea.
